SPORTSMANSHIP HONESTY-LOYALTY RESPECT FOR AUTHORITY FAMILY FUN!

The League Objective is to implant firmly in the children of the community the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, and respect for authority, so that they may be well-adjusted, stronger, and happier children and will grow to be good, decent, healthy, and trustworthy citizens.

All Directors, officers, and Members shall bear in mind that the attainment of exceptional athletic skill or the winning of games is secondary to the molding of future citizens.

Wasilla Youth Baseball will always prioritize the needs and welfare of the kids over the needs of the adults.   It’s about the kids having fun!  

How do we Help them have Fun?  

1) Provide a family safe environment for all kids.
2) Ensure the programs are structured and focused on the kids.
3) Communicate and support the expectations.
4) Provide positive reinforcement through encouraging role models.
5) TEACH the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, respect for authority…and the game of baseball.
6)  Encourage mature, responsible adult interactions.
7)  Constantly train & monitor umpires.
8)  Select and train committed Coaches.    

WYB is MORE than just competitive baseball, it’s a chance for kids to get outside and have fun during our short summer while learning the fundamentals of life!
