I want to personally thank you for allowing the Prince George’s Storm Youth Association an opportunity to teach and mentor your child during the fall “cheerleading” season.  It is our commitment to ensure that your child receives all the knowledge and skills in regards to cheerleading and to ensure she has fun in the process.  Youth sports provide a fun and engaging way for youth to learn important life skills and establish good habits for personal health and fitness. We believe that creating a good atmosphere is critical to providing a positive sports experience for our youth.  My staff and I will continue to seek new ways to improve our cheerleading program to ensure that we are above the rest.  

Our cheer program is focused on learning and mastering the basics of cheerleading.  Motions, Jumps, and Stunts are learned during each practice.  The goal of this program is to teach the beginner athlete the fundamentals of cheerleading.  Learning the fundamentals will help them prepare for the next level of cheerleading.  This will ensure they become more flexible and a confident athletes.   Our program is a great, inexpensive way to get involved in cheerleading and a fun way to gain experience in the sport.  There are no tryouts for this team.   The team consists of enthusiastic, dynamic, fun, hardworking students whose mission is to represent the organization with a spirit of support for teams, fans and the entire Storm community.    The team may compete in local and national cheer competitions.  They perform during games, homecoming, pep rallies, and other events.
