WINNERS Lacrosse Classic Tournament – 2018 RULES

NFHS rules apply.

All Games are two, 25-minute running halves.  Games will start right on the hour so teams need to be ready to play at that time.

A 3-minute break for half-time.

Each team must have a coach or parent on the sidelines at all times.  He/she is responsible for the conduct of the team at all times.

Each player needs to have all required equipment (including mouthguard). 

Each team must have a legally equipped goalie to start each game.

All penalties are running time starting on ref's whistle.

Referee keeps running game clock and penalty clocks.

If tied go to ‘Sudden Victory’ with a “Braveheart” – 1v1 starting with draw/faceoff and 1 goalie on each team.  Play until a goal is scored – no substitutes.  Goalie may not go over half line.

One 30 second time-out per half can be taken at any time and the clock stops.  No time outs with less than 5 minutes in the game.

All players must be registered prior to the event to be eligible.  No walk-ups.  

Teams must wear their own jerseys (reversible are preferred) for all games.

Fields will be regulation sized for older divisions and modified for youngest division (U8).  U8 divisions will be 8v8 including the goalie.

When there is a 7 goal margin, after a goal by either team, the team trailing will be awarded the ball at midfield.

Please be aware that balls can and will fly from fields (shots or passes) and cause serious bodily harm.

Do not sit directly behind goals or within reach of errant shots.
