Welcome to C3 Sports soccer!

We offer a complete sports experience for the family and your athlete, Pre-K through 8th grade. Our newly redesigned format develops your athlete from the early stages of learning and loving the game of soccer through a more competitive, strategy driven experience as they grow older.

Our “Athlete Acceleration” program is designed to grow as your athlete grows preparing them in the skills needed to participate at the middle school level and beyond. We take an intentional different approach to youth soccer. Starting with small sided games and accelerating to larger fields as our athletes grow and mature in the game without getting too big to diminish individual skills.

This  approach has many benefits:

Smaller fields

  • Better technical development
  • Less players on a field = better tactical development
  • Better physical efficiency as the game is played
  • More skill development

Smaller team size

  • More touches on the ball
  • More individual coaching per player
  • More playing time
  • More playing on both sides of the ball

Playing with Purpose

  • Virtue based learning preparing athletes for off the field, life situations
  • Builds character
  • Builds self esteem
  • Builds a team mentality
  • Develops a heart for others
  • Creates a different “family friendly” atmosphere on game day

Practice format

  • All teams will practice for 1 hour through the week

More info for Small Sided Games (SSG)

The use of SSGs has also been adopted by the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) as the preferred method for training soccer players. In their most recent Best Practices for Coaching in the United States manual, the USSF has stated, “Controlling the ball is the primary skill that every other skill in soccer depends upon.” The USSF goes on to state, “At the same time, their intellectual capacity to understand spatial concepts like positions and group play is limited.” As a result, it is recommended that SSGs are used by coaches and youth soccer associations through the age of 14.

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) has also endorsed the concept of SSG play for youth soccer players. According to the NSCAA policy, “For younger players, the 11 v. 11 soccer game can be complicated and confusing.”  Instead, a graduated playing environment starting at 3 v. 3 is recommended because it “simplifies the environment for these young players and gives them the opportunity to get plenty of touches on the ball.” According to Doug Williamson, “I do see more states heading toward mandating small sided games in the future. When used with skilled coaching, they produce more skilled, more confident players and make for happier kids than those kids stuck in playing 11 v. 11 at a young age.”
