IMPORTANT GEAR INFORMATION

REQUIRED GEAR: Players must have all required gear in order to participate in practices or games.

Gear Issued/Provided by the Ravens: 

• Helmet and Shoulder Pads (to be returned at end of season)

• Game Pants (to be returned at end of season)

• Game Jersey

• Game Socks

• Practice Jersey

• Compression Shirt

Other Required Gear NOT PROVIDED by the Ravens: All gear/equipment can be found and purchased at local sporting goods stores (Dick's, Al's Sport Shop, Barry's, etc.) or online (Amazon, various online athletic supply companies).

• Mouthpiece

• Football Cleats

• Compression Shorts (if girdle not used)

• Practice Pants: These football pants are preferred to be all black in color and will be needed for practices. Players can use integrated football pants which have the required padding and belt built-in OR basic/slotted football pants, which will need to be worn over a padded girdle or have the required pads (thigh, knee, hip and tail) placed inside. 

• Padded Girdle or Leg Pads:

• Padded Girdle – Girdles are generally available with 5 pads (Hip, Thigh, Tail) or 7 pads (Hip, Thigh, Tail & Knee). These are made to be worn underneath football pants. If a 6-pad girdle is used, knee pads will need to be inserted into the slots inside the football pants.

• Leg Pads – Leg pads (Hip, Thigh, Tail and Knee) can be inserted into the slots in the football pants. 

NOTE:  For your convenience, football pants, girdles and leg pads will be available for purchase through the team's online store via Al's Sport Shop. This online store will be opened for a limited time before the start of the season.

Additionally, the Santee Ravens have a limited supply of integrated football pants that will be available for purchase at a discounted rate during uniform fittings – first come, first served. Also, if a player has pants from a previous season that are in good condition, they may be used again.

OPTIONAL GEAR:  Other optional gear or equipment is permitted, such as football gloves, compression or padded sleeves, helmet visors, etc. Please note, visors must be clear – no tint or color. Also, any additional accessories worn (gloves, sleeves, etc.) must be Black, Purple and/or White.
