Overview 

Grizzlies Basketball Club is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit youth basketball and mentoring program dedicated to providing a positive, supportive, and fun basketball experience for young athletes across the Midwest. Our mission is to teach and develop strong basketball fundamentals in an encouraging and instructional environment.

We offer a range of opportunities for players of all skill levels, including recreational, competitive, and travel teams, while fostering teamwork, discipline, and personal growth both on and off the court.

Our mission is to provide youth across the Midwest with opportunities to enhance their basketball skills, build self-confidence, and develop leadership through participation in a highly competitive team environment. We place a strong emphasis on academics, character development, and community service — empowering student-athletes to excel both on and off the court.

Our vision is to build a generation of confident, disciplined, and community-minded athletes who lead with integrity both on and off the court. We strive to be a model youth basketball organization recognized for developing skilled players, strong students, and responsible young leaders who make a positive impact in their communities.

Program Background

The foundation of Grizzlies Basketball Club was built in 2007 with the launch of our mentoring initiative, T.E.A.M. (Tutoring, Enlightening, and Mentoring). This program was created to connect young adults with youth through positive relationships, guidance, and encouragement to make strong life choices — helping them stay off the streets and become engaged in productive, community-focused activities.

In 2013, the mentoring effort expanded with the creation of Motor City Grizzlies, a grassroots basketball program that combined athletic development with character building.

To further extend our reach and impact, T.E.A.M. Grizzlies was established in 2023, growing the brand into a Midwest-wide network for scholar-athletes. Through this expansion, we continue to empower young people to succeed both on the court and in the classroom.
