Basketball

• Carroll County Parks and Recreation offers basketball for children between pre-k and the 8th grade. Recreation basketball takes place every year during the winter time, with games typically getting underway during the first week of December.

• The deadline to register for basketball will be Nov. 7th for Pre-K-1st and 2nd-3rd grade divisions. The deadline to register for 4th-5th and 6th-8th grade will be Dec. 16th.  The registration fee will be $25.00 per child. 

• Teams will be responsible for furnishing their own uniforms. Typically a sponsor will cover the cost. 

Divisions

• Co-ed Pre-k-1st- The pre-k-1st age group of basketball is offered for boys and girls that are interested in participating. This group plays during the week, as well as the weekends at Woodlawn and St. Paul School. There are no referees in this age group coaches will be out on the floor with the players.

• Co-ed 2nd-3rd- The 2nd- 3rd age group is offered for boys and girls that are interested in participating. This group plays during the week, as well as the weekends at Woodlawn and St. Paul School. There is one referee on the floor in this age group. 

• 4th-5th- Boys and girls will be separated starting in this age group. This group plays during the week, as well as the weekends at Woodlawn and St. Paul School. There will be 2 referees on the floor in this age group. 

• 6th-8th- Boys and girls will be separated in this age group. This group plays during the week, as well as the weekends at Woodlawn and St. Paul School. There will be 2 referees in this age group.
