History

Since 1958, Central Accomack Little League (CALL) has been providing a safe, instructional, and fun sports environment to the children of Accomack County. CALL is chartered under the umbrella of Little League International, Inc, and under the jurisdiction of Little League District 8 of Virginia.  This all-volunteer organization of dedicated Eastern Shore residents continues it's small town tradition of sharing in the mission of providing baseball and softball programs to more than 300 boys and girls, ages 4-16, every season for more than 60 years.

Serving a county of less than 35,000 people, Central Accomack Little League is a small, yet diverse talent of players who have continually succeeded at the District Level of Little League  For years, CALL has had their All-Star teams in numerous divisions win District Championships.  The CALL 2019 Season was especially successful with the Girls Majors Softball Team, Girls Seniors Softball Team, and the Boys Seniors Baseball Team all winning their District 8 Championships.  Girls Seniors Softball and Boys Seniors Baseball Teams made CALL history by representing District 8 at their Little League Virginia State Tournaments and both returning home as Little League State Champions of Virginia.

The Girls Senior Team continued their historic run in July 2019 representing Virginia in the 2019 Senior League Softball Southeastern Regional Tournament in Salisbury, North Carolina.  With their last loss to Florida, the CALL Senior League Softball Team finished fourth in the tournament, having gone farther in Little League play than any CALL softball team ever.

The Boys Senior League Baseball Team continued their historic run in July 2019 representing Virginia in the 2019 Senior League Baseball Southeastern Regional Tournament in Safety Harbor, Florida.  After battling back and forth with Inno Little League from South Carolina in the Championship Game, the CALL Senior League boys pulled out an unforgettable one run win, 12-11, in extra innings to earn a berth as the Senior League Southeast Team in the 2019 Senior League World Series in Easley, South Carolina.  After a initial loss to the eventual World Series Champion - West (Hawaii), an awesome win over East (Delaware), and a second tournament loss to the SLWS Host Team (South Carolina), the CALL Senior League Team ended their incredible Little League "Championship Summer of 2019".
