The Washington Youth Baseball League, sponsored by Lee Chevrolet, is excited to announce that registration for the 2026 Spring Baseball Season is now open! We seek to teach fundamentals of the game while emphasizing teamwork, discipline, and good sportsmanship.

 

Any child with a birth date between May 1, 2010 and October 31, 2022 is eligible to play. The child’s age as of May 1, 2026 determines which division they are eligible for. During the Spring 2026 season we are offering the following divisions:

 

4U Instructional Division (3½-4 yrs old)

6U Division (5-6 yrs old) sponsored by J & S Construction

8U Division (7-8 yrs old) sponsored by Flatlands Jessup Insurance

10U Division (9-10 yrs old) sponsored by General Maintenance

12U Division (11-12 yrs old) sponsored by Down on Mainstreet

15U (13-15 yrs old)

 

Our 12U Division will have a delayed start to their season, similar to our 15U Division, to encourage additional participation.

If participation levels permit, late registration requests after the cut-off date will have a $10.00 late fee. Don’t wait and sign up today!

Parents/guardians must provide a copy of the participant's birth certificate. Copies can be uploaded during the registration process, emailed to [email protected], or mailed to Washington Youth Baseball League, P.O. Box 762, Washington, NC 27889.

 

Players are strongly encouraged to participate in evaluations to assist our coaches in selecting fair and balanced teams. Those unable to participate will still be assigned to a team. Please note that 4U players do not participate in player evaluations.

 

6U, 8U, and 10U: Saturday, February 21^st at Athletic Edge (1100 West 5^th Street in Washington). Players should report according to the following schedule to check in and confirm shirt size. Evaluations will begin approximately 15 minutes after each reporting time.

 

6U players report 1:15 pm

8U players report 2:45 pm

10U players report at 4:15 pm 

 

12U and 15U: Tentatively scheduled for April 18^th. Additional information will be shared at a later date.

 

We are excited to host a Coaches Clinic on February 28^th! Professional instructors Andrew Jordan, Johnny Narron, and Ty Johnson will be graciously lending their services to guide our coaches in planning and conducting effective practices. League leadership will also share important information about the upcoming season. Head coaches are required to attend and assistant coaches are welcome! Further information about this event will be shared in the coming weeks.

4U-10U: March 2^nd

12U-15U: April 27^th

 

Games begin:

4U-10U: March 21^st (Opening Day – more info to come!)

12U-15U: May 4^th

 

Regular Season Ends(tentative):

4U-10U: May 15^th

12U-15U: June 5^th

 

Postseason Tournament(tentative):

6U-10U: May 16^th - May 23^rd

12U-15U: Junes 8^th – June 12^th

 

The Tarheel Leagues District 6 Baseball Tournament will be held in Washington this year. Dates and additional information will be shared soon!
