Opening Ceremonies/Banquet

There will be an opening ceremony Dinner in honor of the teams and players that have made it this far. This event will take place at the Westin La Paloma Resort and Spa at 6:00 PM on July 23rd 2026. All players and managers are required to attend, and admission is free for all players. All other parents and families that want to attend the event will be charged a $50.00 per person fee for the event and Dinner.

Mandatory Managers Meeting

All managers must report for a mandatory meeting at the Westin La Paloma Resort and Spa at 2:00 PM on July 23th to go over information and structure for the tournament.  At least one person from each team must be present.

Food & Lodging

The official hotel of Arizona District 5 is the Westin La Paloma Resort and Spa.  Rates are 169.00/night 

Booking instructions: All Teams will be assigned a room block of 4 double queen rooms with the ability to add an additional double queen or king room. There is a $10.00 per night charge per vehicle to self park. Each team will be given a per diem to cover two vehicles per the length of the the stay. The team manager is to call Carl A Thompson, Tournament Director, at 520-360-2221 to request or decline room block by July 19th. Team Manager will provide Carl A Thompson a list of the players and coaches that will be in the rooms along with a e-mail address for confirmation. Carl A Thompson will submit the rooming list to the resort along with the provided e-mail address to the resort. The manager or contract person will receive an email form the resort asking for a credit card to hold the rooms. The payment for the rooms can be updated upon arrival. 

Parents and relatives  wanting to books rooms at the Westin La Paloma Resort and Spa will need to call Carl A Thompson, DA to be added to the teams room block. Additional rooms are subject to resort availability. Rates for parents rooms are 169.00 per night.   

All rooms include use of spa area (hot tub, sauna, ect), access to pools, discounted greens fees for golfers and great evening amenities such as bars and lounge areas. 

All activities for the tournament will take place at this resort, so it is required that all girls that are participating in the tournament stay at this hotel.  

Team Registration

There will be a certification meeting July 23 at 1:15 PM at the Westin La Paloma Resort and Spa.

Affidavits, proofs or residency, and medical releases will be checked at time of registration/check in. If any team has an incomplete package, West Region must be consulted to determine if that team will be permitted to play, so please make sure your package is complete before you travel. 

Tournament Rules

2026 Tournament Rules and Guidelines for Little League Softball will be strictly adhered to.  Tournament Ground Rules and the Arizona State District Administrators Association Code of Conduct will be enforced at the tournament.  Copies of these documents will be supplied to each team prior to their first game. (Please refer to Little League International Website for Updated Tournament Rules not listed in the 2026 rule book)

Umpires

Umpires will be provided by West Region and host umpires from District 5 Little League.  No umpires will be assigned games in which their home league participates.  If at all possible, no umpires will be assigned games in which their home district participates.
