Our league is in desperate need of volunteers to join our committees! We all want to make this upcoming season the best it can be and in order to do so we need more parents, family and community members to pitch in and help us out!
Time commitments can be as much or as little time that you can give - We have opportunities at every level!
Details of each committee, including potential time commitment, is included below.
ECLL Committee Descriptions
Coaching Committee:
- Responsibilities would include assisting League Coaching Manager (Eric Zimmerman ericz@eastcountyll.com) to help train and support team coaching staff
- Help facilitate any day clinics of online trainings
- Time Commitment: Pre-season (Feb-Apr) with some support continuing throughout the season
Concessions Committee:
- Responsibilities would include assisting League Concession Manager (Katie Chavarria katiec@eastcountyll.com) in organizing, shopping, etc.
- Help recruit concession volunteers, and assist with Sign Up Genius for shift fulfillment.
- Time Commitment- Ongoing throughout season
Equipment Committee:
- Responsibilities include assisting League Equipment Manager (Ryan Fritz [email protected]) in keeping inventory, distributing gear bags and supplies, etc
- Time Commitment- Beginning and end of season, with some support during season as needed.
Field Maintenance Committee:
- Responsibilities include assisting our League Field Maintenance Manager (Adam McNeley [email protected]) in keeping our fields looking fresh and professional for the players.
- Assist in maintaining tractors/lawn mowers, Mow, weed whack, blow leaves etc. Help in coordinating League Field Day
- Time Commitment- Pre season, getting fields ready after winter. During season as needed to keep fields mowed and looking good.
Fundraising and Sponsorship Committee:
- Responsibilities include helping our League Sponsorship/Fundraising Manager (Becky Wheeler beckyw@eastcountyll.com) in gaining sponsorships from our community business partners, hanging signage, etc.
- Assist in finding and executing a league wide fundraiser. Funds need to be raised to make improvements to the field.
- Time Commitment- Ongoing
Events Committee:
- Responsibilities include helping to plan league events with our League Events Manager (Kristin Pfiefer kristinp@eastcountyll.com) including try-outs, opening day ceremonies, closing ceremonies, etc.
- Assist in all planning and execution of events
- Time Commitment- beginning and end of season, with support during as needed
Umpire Committee:
- Responsibilities include helping our League Umpire in Chief (Dan Fullerton danf@eastcountyll.com) to find, secure, and schedule volunteer umpires for baseball/softball games at player pitch level.
- Help to recruit parents and community members to help OR help by stepping in to Umpire yourself
- Assist in coordinating Training Clinics for new Umpires with District 4 Officials
- Time Commitment- Ongoing
