Umpire Training at Sunset Little League

Every year our District works to establish opportunities for parents and coaches to learn the fundamentals of being an umpire.

This year Sunset Little League will be hosting the first of three separate trainings being offered by our district leading up to our Spring Season. Come learn from a great crew of experienced District Level umpires.

As you may have experienced in the past, developing and retaining volunteer umpires can be difficult, and for that reason we offer this training at no charge to our members. Many of our umpires in the past are people just like us. Volunteers make our league successful.

Parents:
If you have ever served as a volunteer umpire or maybe you have been interested in learning, we would love to have you.

Coaches:
For anyone that has been a coach, you know just how valuable an umpire is, and any experienced manager knows, if you don't have an umpire, it is the manager's job to strap on the gear and call the game from behind the plate. For that reason, we want as many coaches as possible, from any division, to come learn and continue to support our league.

When: Saturday, January 25th from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Where: The Rio Rancho Sports Complex - Sunset Little League
