New USA Baseball bat standard for 2018

Effective September 1, 2017 Little League Baseball has adopted a new bat standard.  This standard was created in conjunction with USA Baseball and is being adopted by all youth baseball programs in the United States.  The new standard ensures that aluminum and composite bats perform similarly to wooden bats.  For all of the details about the new standard, please see THIS INFORMATIONAL PAGE on the Little League Website.

In short ALL bats that were approved for play in the 2017 Little League season, are no longer allowed.  In the 2018 Little League season, for all age divisions including T-ball, players must have bats that display the USA Baseball logo.

If you bought a bat before September 1, 2017, then it will not be allowed for use next season or beyond.

Just some advice considering the millions of kids who are affected by these new rules, if you are likely to want to buy your child a bat for next season, you may want to consider buying it sooner rather than later.  Supply will likely be short come next season.  As always, ACLLW will provide 1 team bat for each team, so purchasing a bat for your child is not required.
