ACLLW All-Stars take home District Championships!

Two of ACLLW’s All Star teams took home championships this past week at the 2023 District 15 All-Star tournament hosted by ACLLW at Howard Park in Ione. On Wednesday, June 28th the Junior All-Stars bounced back from an opening round loss to win 4 straight blow outs and defeat Foothill Little League of Valley Springs 11-2 to take home the title. Stand-out pitching and hitting performances by Miguel Torres and Grady Nash propelled ACLLW to their first Junior Division District title since 2019.
In the 8-10 year old division, the ACLLW All-Stars battled back from a Wednesday night loss to rival Amador East by beating them twice over the weekend including a decisive 11-1 victory on Sunday July 2nd to take home the championship. Great pitching was also key for the 8-10 year olds with Chase Hernandez and Bentley Schwabe leading the way in the weekend victories.
