Minnesota Yeti Coaches
Coach Jeff Johnson is the 13U Yeti Head Coach. Jeff has been coaching lacrosse in Champlin for the last 3 years at 18U, 14U and 12U in regular season play, clinics and tournaments. As the high school booster club president, Jeff builds support for the local lacrosse program and acts as the liaison between the youth program and high school. Jeff is passionate about teaching the fundamentals of lacrosse to help each athlete achieve personal growth. Jeff is a US Lacrosse Level 2 certified coach and a US Hockey Level 3 certified coach.
Coach Brad Geiss is the Yeti 15U Director. Brad is currently a member of the board for the Andover Area Lacrosse Association, having spent over three years in the President role, and then Girls Youth Director. Brad has also coached girls lacrosse in Minnesota for several years, at various levels from 10U to High School. He has been the Head Coach for the Andover High School Girls Lacrosse program since 2016, while also coaching for Andover Area Lacrosse at the U14A Level (Spring), U14 and U18 Levels (Summer). He has also worked with MSLax as their primary goalie coach for fall and winter programs and clinics. Brad is a registered MSHSL coach and a certified US Lacrosse Level 3 coach.
Coach Carrie Johnson is the Yeti 19U assistant coach. Carrie has coached at both the high school level and association level for Andover. She was Vice President of the Andover Area Lacrosse Association Board until September of 2017. Carrie is also a certified US Lacrosse Level 2 coach. In her spare time, you will find Carrie at a lacrosse field watching one of her three children play lacrosse or working on organizing various travel and events for the MN Yeti.
Coach Daniel Butcher serves as the Yeti 19U Director. Daniel was Girls Youth Director for the Andover Area Lacrosse Association for over 4 years, working with parents, coaches and Board members to grow the program from 12 registrations to over 160 annually. Daniel coached numerous age levels, clinics, and tourneys for Andover as a coach. After leaving the Girls Youth Director position, he became the 19U Director and Girls Development Director for Andover Area Lacrosse. Additionally, he coached for MSLAX's Fall 19U program and at league clinics. Daniel is a U.S. Lacrosse Level 3 Certified Coach.
