Click on the REGISTRATION INFO tab and select the program that fits your child's grade. Players are registered and play for teams based upon GRADE LEVEL, not date of birth or friends.
Welcome to the New Hartford (CT) Youth Travel Basketball (NHYB)website. NHYB is run by volunteers who provide a fun and rewarding basketball experience for the children of New Hartford, CT and surrounding towns.
We provide the opportunity for players in grades 5-8 to participate in a competitive TRAVEL basketball league within the Berkshire League area. We have both boys and girls teams available.
Tryouts are required to play - you MUST attend to be considered for a team position. Evaluations at tryouts will be performed by 3rd party evaluators, not directly by the coach of the team. Depending on interest/numbers cuts will be made to keep teams to 10-12 players only.
If selected to a team, registration is currently $275.00 per player which covers club insurance fees, gym rental fees for practices times, referee payments for home games, team uniforms and team equipment needs.
Practices take place 2 nights per week November - March at the discretion of the coach. Games are played on Saturdays and/or Sundays. Home games take place at the NWR7 main gym and away games are at various other Berkshire League schools. Transportation is not provided.
