REGISTRATION: SOFTBALL * BASEBALL * T-BALL (SPRING 2014)

2024 SPRING SOFTBALL

Newport Little League offers Baseball, Softball, and T-Ball for Newport Residents and individuals who attend school within the city of Newport

This program is for SOFTBALL divisions. BASEBALL has a separate registration program. If you are looking for BASEBALL OR TBALL registration - please select 2024 SPRING BASEBALL AND TBALL

The Spring season typically runs from the end of April through June. All Stars for Baseball and Softball begins after the regular season (June) and can continue through July and possibly August. Players ages are determined by Little League International's age charts. New charts come out for each season. While there are age ranges for each division, at times, players will need to play in a different division for safety

Softball schedules are completed by the district. Newport will post the schedules as soon as they are available. There is some travel for softball within our division - typically: Portsmouth, Middletown, Tiverton, Barrington.

We offer the following SOFTBALL divisions

Coach-Pitch Softball for girls - typical ages are 6-8. There is usually one practice per week and one game on Saturday.

Minors Softball for girls - typical ages 9-10. There is usually one practice per week and two games per week.

Majors Softball for girls - typical ages 11-12. There is usually one practice per week and two games per week.

Senior Softball for girls - new this season - ages 13-16

We encourage parents and guardians to sign up to volunteer. We cannot run a successful program without the dedication of our volunteers.
