COVID-19 Update

Good afternoon Seahawk Families.

We hope this email finds everyone well. The Board would like to give a quick update on the upcoming season and how our organization will proceed from here.

First, we want to thank you for remaining committed to youth football in the valley. We consider ourselves a community organization first and want to continue providing as positive, safe and competitive a football experience as we can.

With Phase Four, we are preparing and fully expect to play football this season. Once our safety plan has been approved by the Borough, we expect to start activities as early as June first. This also means we need parents to register their athletes, or at the very least complete their registration in the cart. This will help to help expedite uniform orders and the scheduling of our first sizing. We are also putting together contingencies to deal with issues like refunds, if the need arises. Unfortunately, custom jerseys will be non-refundable.

Assuming facilities are available, Coaches will be conducting mini camps for players prior to the start of the season. We have not worked out every detail, but they will either be at the Menard Center or Redington HS. The camps will be back-to-back days, and four hours each day. We will divide the camps (per division) and attempt to size those who are registering late.

We understand this new “normal” is not perfect. As an organization we have been working hard to ensure we have everything we need to play football as safely as possible. Taking mandates into consideration, there will be changes, however we feel strongly we can work within the mandates and have a successful season. Of course any plan requires the support of parents and players alike.

Thank You and have safe Memorial Day weekend!
