Thought about coaching?

Have you ever thought about coaching your child's team? What about all the years you spent on the field yourself playing, and now you're wishing you could relive those good ol' days? Were those years impactful, inspiring and now leave you with some of the best memories? We know the answer is yes, and don't worry we agree.
Believe it or not the Coach can really make or break the game and the season. Which is why Silvis Little League takes great pride in creating a safe and fun environment for kids to be themselves but also learn how to play and hopefully fall in love with America's favorite past time. Each year thousands of kids sign up for Little League and their parents watch from the stands, cheering them on and giving advice. But what if instead of sitting and watching, you were teaching and cheering from inside the dugout? Coaches spend countless hours with your children doing drills for skill building, teamwork, agility and of course having fun. The coach is the person who wants to see the kids succeed on and off the field and truly leave a lasting impression on these kids.
Every year it gets harder and harder to find coaches for Little League, and we understand its a lot to take on, there really isn't enough hours in the day. But we also promise that you'll never regret the time that you spent with your child and so many of their friends, making memories. Little League also tries to make it easy on the Managers, Coaches and Assistants by providing in person and online clinics and lessons for coaches to learn, ask questions and meet others within the league. Little League University is also an online outlet available with all the tools and resources a coach could need. Silvis Little League is so important to our local youth, it's a way for these kids to make new friends, learn from one another, learn the value of teamwork, and increase their physical activity. But this organization wouldn't be possible without our coaches. They really are the heartbeat of our league, and while there is no paid position within our league, the amount of love, fun, and inspiration you walk away with after the season is over is the best payment.

So if Managing, Coaching or Assisting is something you know you'd be great at, or have always wanted to try, we welcome you. You don't have to be an expert, you just have to be willing to be a positive adult who can lead and encourage our youth.
