The East Hartford Soccer Club is an organization formed entirely by volunteers committed to creating a fun and safe environment to introduce soccer skills to the youth of East Hartford. East Hartford Soccer Club programs focus on the best interests of the players in an atmosphere of wholesome community participation with an emphasis on being dedicated to helping children enrich their lives and on becoming good and decent citizens in the community. EHSC recreational programs strive to inspire youthful participants with the fundamental principles of teamwork and fair play, while having a focus on FUN.
All board members, directors and coaches are volunteers. We are currently facing an extreme shortage in volunteers. We need volunteer directors, coaches and assistant coaches in all age divisions, especially for players in grades Pre K - 2nd Grade. Board positions are also open. No experience is necessary, training will be provided. Cleats, Shin Gaurds, Soccer Ball Required.
Introduction to Soccer Program for Grades Pre-K through 2nd Grade
BANTAM - Fun-filled intro to soccer program for PreK and Kindergarten (Child must be at least 4 years old, No Practices, Game Time 9:00A)
MICRO - Intro to 4 vs 4 game for 1st and 2nd Graders (One Practice Per Week, Game Time 11:00A)
Instructional Soccer Program for Grades 3 to 9
PEEWEE - Division for Grades 3 & 4, 7 vs 7 small-sided game (One or Two Practices Per Week, Game Time 1:00P)
*JUNIOR - Division for Grades 5 & 6, 8 vs 8 game (One or Two Practices Per Week, Game Time 9AM)
*SENIOR - Division for players in Grades 7-9, 8 vs 8 game (One or Two Practices Per Week, Game Time 11AM)

1. Where are games played?
Goodwin Park: Pre-K through Grade 2 (Bantam & Micro)
Dwyer Park: Grades 3 through 9 (Peewee, Junior & Senior)
2. How often are practices held?
Practice schedules depend on the division:
Bantam: No practices
Micro: One practice per week
Peewee, Junior & Senior: One or two practices per week
Practice days and times are determined by the assigned coach. Families will be notified once teams are finalized.
3. What equipment is required?
Players must have:
Soccer cleats only (no football or metal spikes)
Shin guards
East Hartford Soccer Club provides a jersey, shorts, and socks for game days.
4. Is there a skills evaluation session?
Yes. Junior and Senior division players are required to attend the Skills Evaluation Session. Details will be communicated prior to the season or during registration.
If a player is unable to attend, they will still be assigned to a team. However, attendance is strongly recommended to help ensure balanced teams and an appropriate placement for all players.
5. What is the club’s behavior policy?
EHSC enforces a zero-tolerance policy for misconduct. Disrespectful behavior toward players, coaches, referees, or directors will not be tolerated. Individuals who violate this policy may be removed from the field immediately, and authorities may be notified if necessary.
