Welcome to another exciting season at Fontana Community Little League! The 2024-2025 season will be FCLL’s 67th year of baseball, and I, Ron Sutton am honored to represent Fontana Community Little League as this year’s President. It’s amazing how generations of people continue to be involved at FCLL, from parents who are now grandparents to past players who are now coaches and board members. I love seeing new families join our league because I know that one day, they will feel the same way so many of us do about FCLL. Once you put on the FCLL uniform, you are now part of the FCLL family.
My wife Kristyn and I have been married for 18 years and have been blessed with three children: Kylie, Austin, and Kaidan. I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to coach my sons Austin and Kaidan every year. Although my daughter never played, she has spent just as much time here at the fields (cheering on her brothers, running around with friends, and spending all my money at the snack bar), that they consider FCLL home as well.
First, I must thank Carissa Percival, our 2023 League President, and Chris Avila our Treasurer, for their amazing leadership this past season. We must also thank all past FCLL leaders, board members, donors, parents, for everything they have done to make this league amazing. FCLL not only provides an excellent opportunity for our children to play quality baseball in the heart of Fontana, but it is also a community of families that truly care about the success of the league.
On the baseball side, FCLL is made up of seven divisions. T-ball, Farm, Rookie, Minor, Major, Jr’s and Sr’s. On the Softball side we currently have 4 divisions, Rookie, Minor, Major and Jr’s. For the past several seasons, we have reached max capacity in all divisions, and even needed to add teams to the Minor baseball division to ensure all kids were able to play!!! Our divisions are coached by Dad’s, Mom’s, Grandparents, and other volunteers. All our coaches are volunteers who give a lot of their own time, money, and heart to these kids every year. Thank you!
Part of the reason that our community is such a special place not just for players but for our entire League, are our volunteers. We are extremely blessed to have our Board of Directors who volunteer their time on top of having to take care of their personal lives as well. Some of the Board members oversee all non-baseball related events such as parties, special activities, fundraising, spirit store, sponsorships, plus more. Thank you, Board of Directors for all that you do for FCLL, you are truly what makes it special!
Because of our fundraising efforts, you will notice a few things that have been upgraded. We were able to purchase a new quad to get the fields game ready. We have been able to replace non-working equipment in the snack bar to make sure your drinks are cold, and your hotdogs are warm!
Finally, we are always looking for volunteers. Whether it be on the Board of Directors, field and maintenance committee, or other committees that our league has. If there is any interest in any or all of this, please contact us via email at [email protected]
Thank you for all you do, LETS PLAY BALL!!
