What do I need for my child to play?

The league provides a jersey and a cap for baseball and a jersey and socks for softball. Parents will need to purchase pants, socks, belt, and an undershirt (optional). Please do not buy these items until AFTER you have met with your team where the colors will be decided. Players need to have a baseball/softball glove, cleats, and an athletic supporter.

Our registration programs are set up to conform with Little League standards. The program you register for is strictly based on your participant's age.  Please see the 2024 Little League age chart for Baseball and/or Softball to find your players league age.

https://www.littleleague.org/play-little-league/determine-league-age/
League age is based on the age the player turns between 9/1 and 8/31 of the next year.

Fontana Community cannot guarantee in our Baseball or Softball programs that a player will move up or be placed in a specific division with his/her friends or a specific coach.
Please understand that all players in the Rookie through Senior divisions need to be evaluated and many factors go into division availability and the team draft. Your player will have a much more successful and satisfying season playing at the appropriate level. All players in the Rookie and above divisions must show up to evaluations to be drafted.

Softball divisions and our Baseball Junior/Senior divisions will interleague within our district. This may impact season start date, game and practice locations.

Additional Information:

  • Working the Snack Bar will be a requirement in Spring without exception
  • Team Volunteers will be required for each team (Manager, Coaches, Team parent)
