Dracut Pop Warner
In 1972, the organizers of a local youth football program in decided to join Pop Warner, a national organization, to expand the competition outside . The program has since developed into one of the area's strongest youth programs. This year, we have eight football and cheerleading squads made up of more than 300 children, with 60 coaches, a 15-person executive board and an enthusiastic group of supporters and fund-raisers. The program strives to teach football, cheerleading, and sportsmanship while having fun!
The Dracut Pop Warner Association plays in the Merrimack Valley League, which is part of the Pop Warner Football Conference of Eastern Mass (PWFCEM).
Mission Statement:
A. To provide children, regardless of race, creed or color, meeting the requirements specified by Pop Warner Football Conference of Eastern Massachusetts, Inc., and Dracut Pop Warner Association, Inc., with the opportunity to build character and friendship through athletic competition.
B. To instruct these same youths in the fundamentals of the sports of tackle football and cheerleading.
C. To inspire and install fair play and good sportsmanship.
D. To make them aware of the importance of mental and physical fitness.
E. To give them the proper leadership, protective equipment and necessary facilities
