What is S.A.A.C.?  
The St. Anthony Athletic Commission is a parish program that manages sports for students in grades 4 –8 at St. Anthony parish and school for the Columbus Diocesan Recreation Association.  The program is run by volunteers who donate their time & talent to manage all aspects of athletics for the parish and school.  Positions include president, vice president, athletic director, treasurer, secretary, uniform coordinator, athletic equipment & facility coordinator,  individual sport commissioners and a Little Stallions Basketball Commissioner. 

Why is athletics important for students at the parish and school?   
To quote Pope John Paul II, “ Sport trains body and spirit for perseverance, effort, courage, balance, sacrifice, honesty, friendship, and collaboration.”  S.A.A.C.‘s mission is to unite the youth of St. Anthony Parish & School to promote their spiritual, physical, and social welfare by bringing Catholic truths, principals, and ideas into everyday life through athletics using core values of building character, good sportsmanship, and Christianity. 

Why should you volunteer?
