We are a local community organization in Holland Ohio, Springfield Township. This is our 2nd year coaching softball with this organization. All of our coaching staff volunteer their time coaching. Coaches teach basic fundamentals of softball, such as base running, proper throwing, catching, and the rules of softball as well.
The goal of our program is to build self-esteem in young girls, grow as a team, and build team chemistry. We have all Springfield students on our teams from U10 all the way up to our high school team. We have grown from just having a U12 and U14 team since last year. We want new friendships to form along with being a team player. We reinforce positive attitudes, as well as constructive criticism. We help each individual grow as a person from helping develop confidence to learning to come out of their shell if they are shy or timid around people.
We try to do lots of fundraisers to help keep the cost of program down for the parents. We are open to suggestions from parents as well. We enjoy the parents getting involved rather its helping with communication, volunteering at practice, or setting up a fundraiser. Sponsorship is also a part of helping subside the cost. Local businesses have been great to help support our teams in the past. Parents can pursue their own as well. The money can go for the team or their child's uniform. Which ever the parent prefers.
