General Rules & Expectations

Code of Conduct
We strive to create a respectful and positive environment for every athlete and parent. All cheerleaders are expected to adhere to the following guidelines:
  • Respect: All participants must communicate and interact with coaches, team moms, board members, and fellow athletes in a respectful manner at all times.
  • Team Spirit & Attitude: Cheerleaders are expected to demonstrate a winning attitude and foster team spirit. Positive behavior is required at games, practices, and events.
  • Behavioral Standards: Cheerleaders must not engage in any disrespectful behavior toward teammates, opposing teams or coaching staff. Negative behavior, intimidation, or bullying in any form, including online/social media interactions, is strictly prohibited. Such behavior will result in mandatory removal from the organization.
  • Social Media & Public Representation: While in Lake Brantley uniform or apparel, cheerleaders must refrain from using inappropriate gestures, language, signs, or behaviors on social media or other platforms.
  • Any behavior unbecoming of the Lake Brantley image may result in disciplinary action, including potential removal from the program.

Attendance Policy

Commitment
It is imperative that all cheerleaders attend every practice and game. More than 5-8 missed practices can result in suspension or removal from the team. Cheerleading is a TEAM SPORT, therefore having every single athlete at all practices is imperative to the sport. Please understand that routines are created utilizing all athletes so their attendance to all practices, performances and games is crucial to their personal development and development of the team. When athletes miss too many practices, it becomes unsafe when they do not get the repetitions needed. We are committed to giving our athletes the best opportunity for success and ask for your respect and understanding regarding the time and sacrifices required. Each cheerleader is an essential part of the overall performance. Clear communication with head coach and/or team mom/dad must take place 48 hours prior to an athlete missing an event for a non-emergency.

Stunt Groups: We require every member of a stunt group to be present at each practice to ensure the safety of the entire team. If any stunt group members are missing, we cannot properly practice or perform stunts.

Performance Consistency: Consistent attendance is crucial for the girls to know their choreography and positions. If attendance becomes unreliable, we may have to rearrange roles, which disrupts team cohesion and is not ideal for success.
