Greenbrier's Mission Statement:
Each child that enters into our program will be presented the correct techniques to safely play and perform in our football and cheer programs. Along the way we will ensure that not only are we developing their bodies, but their minds as well by ensuring that they are meeting the scholastic criteria to participate. Finally, we hope to instill a few core values such as teamwork, commitment, leadership and dedication into each of our kids.
A major advantage of Pop Warner football and cheer is that the teams
are set by high school district. Your child will only have teammates that
feed into Greenbrier High School. We do not go out and recruit children
from other groups to create power house teams. This also means
participation at the elementary level leads to the same team mates at the
middle and high school level. This allows the children to play together
throughout their sports careers which creates strong teamwork and
skills. Pop Warner has other advantages over many other athletic groups
in the surrounding area, for example:
- Strict age limit for football and cheer (5-15)
- No tryouts, you sign up, you participate
- We guarantee participation through the use of "Mandatory Play Rule"
- Academics take precedent over participation...no pass, no play
- Established and stable organization
