2021 Spring Season

This is our Spring Baseball program (tee-ball, pee wee, minors, and majors divisions).  We will have divisions for players between the Little League Ages of 5 and 12.  (To check your Little League Age, you can use the link at the bottom of our web site).  To see descriptions of what each division is, click Show Details, or look at the programs tab on the website.

It is very important that you see our SCLL COVID-19 Safety Requirements for Coaches Players and Umpires and SCLL Parent and Spectator Guidelines documents by clicking their respective links.  It is our goal to provide a fun and safe environment for all participants.  We will continue to monitor all requirements and recommendations and will update these documents and notify all participants as new information comes out.  We are working on contingency plans for refunds in case of a cancelled or shortened season.  Please check the Registration Info tab on our website and then under Registration FAQ's for any updates on what this policy will be.

Players that made a majors roster last spring or players that are league age 12 are automatically in majors this spring and should register for the majors division.  Players who are league age 10 or 11 but didn't make a majors roster last spring should register for majors if they wish to tryout for majors.  Any of those players that don't make a majors team will automatically make a minors team and should then attend the minors tryout.

*League age 8 players may register for minors, and must attend the minors tryout.  That doesn't ensure that you will make the minors division, but league age 8's have to tryout to have any chance of making it into minors.  If they miss the tryout, or don't make a minors team they will automatically be placed on a pee wee team.
**League age 6 players may register for either the tee ball or pee wee division.  While both divisions are very developmental, we recommend that all 1st year players and/or players that really need to work on the basics register to play tee ball.  Also note the price difference below.
***League age 5 girls may register directly into Pee Wee Softball.  Tee ball is co-ed.  Softball is girls only.

The Little League Challenger Program is Little League’s adaptive baseball program for individuals with physical and/or intellectual disabilities.

Any individual with a physical and/or intellectual disability may participate. The Challenger Program is divided into two groups for play: Little League Division (ages 4 to 18) and Senior League Division (18+).

There is no fee to register for the State College Little League Challenger program.

All State College Challenger games are played at Sichler Field, behind Mount Nittany Middle School; Little League encourages the use of traditional fields for the Challenger Program so that participants can enjoy playing on the same fields as other Little Leaguers in the community.

Game dates to be announced.  Senior League games are at 8:45 am (players should arrive by 8:30 am), and Little League games are at 10:30 am (players should arrive by 10:15 am). Typically games are 1-2 innings long and last about an hour to 90 minutes. All players play defensively and bat every inning.

The Challenger program partners “buddies” with Little League Division Challenger athletes to assist in the areas of batting, base running and defense, but only as needed. Often buddies are peer athletes who are participating in the Little League Baseball or Softball program.
