The mission of Sakonnet Schooners football and spirit program is to enable young people to benefit from participation in team sports and activities in a safe and structured environment.  Through this active participation, Sakonnet Schooners teach fundamental values, skills and knowledge that young people will use throughout their lives. Sakonnet Schooners exemplifies and mirrors the goals and objectives as Pop Warner. Sakonnet Schooners seeks to provide fun athletic learning opportunities for children, while instilling the importance of academic success.

Objectives

To encourage and increase youth participation in football, cheerleading and dance.
To ensure a structured and positive playing environment for all participants.
To instill life-long values of teamwork, dedication and a superior work ethic in the classroom as well as on the playing field. 
To promote a code of conduct to which encompasses integrity, Leadership, Good Sportsmanship, Teamwork and being a productive member of society and giving back to their community.
