Join Little League softball for a summer of fun!

Give your daughter teamwork and leadership skills!  It's important to foster positive qualities in our young people, and that's what youth softball can do. When your daughter participates in Essex Town Little League softball, she will develop the ability to lead, work as part of a team, and persevere while pursuing goals.

Farm League

The ETLL Farm League softball program is designed to teach the rules of the game and to build on the softball skills. 

• Eligible girls, typically ages 7 and 8 who have previously played T-Ball (6 year olds may be moved from T-Ball to Farm - please reach out to [email protected] with questions)
• No scores or standings are kept
• Coaches may typically pitch for some of the games
• Games are played on Tuesdays and Thursdays, typically from 5:30 to 7:00pm at Foster Field Park Fields B and C

Minor League

The ETLL Minor League program is designed to help young ballplayers understand all rules of the game, and to refine softball skills acquired and developed previously at the Minor League level.

• Eligible girls, typically ages 9 and 10 who have previously played in the Farm League
• Scores and standings are kept
• Games are played on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays
• Games are played at Foster Field Park Field C, Mitchell Field, and at neighboring towns’ Little League fields

 Major League

The ETLL Major League program is designed to introduce softball strategies, to introduce competitive softball atmosphere, and to continue developing softball skills.

• Eligible for girls, typically ages 11 and 12 who have previously played in the Minor League
• Scores and standings are kept
• Games are played on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays
• Games are played at Foster Field Park Field C, Mitchell Field, and at neighboring towns’ Little League fields
