Dear Baseball Parents,

As you may recall at the end of the Spring 2019 baseball season, West Carroll Baseball and Taneytown Lions Baseball combined to develop tournament teams. Both programs felt that this was a successful endeavor that enabled children to play under the same banner.

Due to this success, both Executive Boards have approved the creation of a joint committee to further explore the best options for both programs to grow under one banner.

As an initial step, both Executive Boards have agreed to combine our 10U programs together for the entire Spring 2020 season. Both Executive Boards believe that everyone will be pleased with the broader atmosphere this presents to our players, and the added flexibility of additional playing fields for practices and home games.

Our programs have enjoyed several years of pleasant cooperation. Combining our 10U programs for the Spring 2020 season will help further the relationships of the players, parents, volunteers, and is an initial step in our programs' continued growth.

If your child will be playing 10U baseball this spring, please register them through Taneytown Lions Baseball at www.taneytownbaseball.org . This registration period is already in process and expected to close on January 25, 2020. If you require additional time before registering, please let us know and we will accommodate the best that we can.

All 10U players will need to take part in evaluations in order to prepare for a fair draft process. The evaluations will take place on Saturday, February 8 from 4:00pm – 5:30pm at All Star Sports Complex in Gettysburg, PA.

For the Spring 2020 season, both programs will continue to offer both t-ball and 8U programs.
