2024 Fall Tackle Football

Welcome to the 2024 Fall Tackle Football Season.
If you are interested in coaching football, please email the football commissioner at [email protected] . 

League ages are as follows:

6U- 5 & 6
8U- 7 & 8
10U- 9 & 10
12U- 11 & 12


Registration is now open! Please register your player by July 1, 2024. The fee is $225. Please visit www.opaa.us in order to complete registration. A copy of your athlete's birth certificate and a Medical Clearance Form dated 2024 will need to be turned in to prior to the athlete receiving equipment.

Here is the link to retrieve the physical form required. This must be signed/stamped by a doctor’s office not a parent or guardian. 

Our first parent meeting will be held on June 25th. This will be for initial information. A second team specific parent meeting will be held in July.

Athlete Certification will be in August, once a date is finalized, this information will promptly go out to parents. Once certification is obtained, you can expect to play in our season opening Jamboree Game and then 8 football games thereafter. 4 games will be played on our home fields at Orange Park Athletic Association, 4 games will be played away. Game schedules will not come out until mid-August.

2024 Fall Cheerleading

Welcome to our FALL 2024 Cheer season!

The 2024 Fall Cheerleading season will begin in July 2024

ALL FALL CHEERLEADERS COMPETE IN A MINIMUM OF ONE END OF SEASON CHAMPIONSHIP WITH THE LEAGUE. THIS IS A REQUIREMENT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE NORTH FLORIDA YOUTH CHEER CONFERENCE. THE FALL CHEERLEADING SEASON WILL OFFICIALLY END AFTER THIS COMPETITION IN EARLY NOVEMBER.

All squads will practice 2 days a week, generally around two hours each. All coaches are background checked and certified through extensive training courses prior to the beginning of the season. This is a requirement to coach!

Please be prepared for your cheerleader to continue practicing until the end of December at the latest. Cheerleaders are assigned to teams by age and skill level, both are heavily considered when assigning teams with athlete safety as the primary concern.  

Parental financial obligation: 
-Other than the registration fee, paid to the association, financial obligations are the responsibility of the parents. Once uniforms are ordered there are NO refunds given.
- Uniforms must be neat and in good repair for the duration of the season. If you lose or damage any piece of your uniform before the end of the season, it must be replaced immediately or you could forfeit any further participation on your cheerleaders behalf. 

Uniform pieces: Shell, Skirt, Bodyliner, Briefs, Shoes, Hair bow (OPAA will provide a shell, skirt and gameday bow with registration. Other uniform pieces are the responsibility of the parent). Parents may also purchase additional pieces like duffel bags and warm-ups for an additional cost. Uniform pieces are selected by the cheerleading commissioner. Additional cheerleading shoes may be purchased by the parent to wear for practices. All cheerleaders must wear the same uniform pieces on competition days and other events. If an athlete quits her team before the end of the season, you forfeit any merchandise you ordered or paid for from that point forward.

Participation rules: Cheerleading is a team sport that requires FULL participation from everyone. If your child is involved in other activities that will not allow her to attend all practices or competitions, please do not register her for cheerleading. Each squad has a limited time to practice and prepare, extensive absences are a safety hazard for your child and their teammates, and could result in her removal from the routine. If your cheerleader is absent, there is a large number of children who CANNOT practice their stunts or pyramids- your absence affects everyone. Repeated non-attendance is grounds for removal from the routine with no refunds given or merchandise issued.   

Practice guidelines: Practice begins in July. Every cheerleader must attend all practices. There are specific guidelines for excused absences- if a cheerleader is sick, a doctor's note is required before she may participate in practices or competitions. 3 week notices must be given if you are attending a school event and cannot practice. Otherwise, it is considered an unexcused absence. All cheerleaders are responsible for their own transportation to competitions and practices. 

Competition and fundraising information: Each cheerleader will have a required amount to fundraise to cover their competition expenses.  There will be a fundraising payment plan available, this is not optional. Failure to fundraise or assume responsibility for the costs associated with fundraising is grounds for removing a cheerleader until all funds are up to date. We hope you understand that this is a crucial part in keeping our registration costs low for all families.
