The Select Pride team was started in 2016 under the Select Soccer Club. The team consists of a mix of 2005, 2006, and 2007 boys from West Virginia and Southern Ohio. The team was formed from two highly successful travel club teams merging together. The team is ran 100% by volunteers and relies on the support of the community to make the program a success.

The combined coaching staff have accumulated a wealth of experience coaching soccer from early youth development up through college. One of our coaches is a current coach at Marietta College. 

First and foremost, we want all our players to enjoy soccer and to have fun. We want to develop our players to their highest individual level and always prepare players for the next level. We want all our players to develop the desire to play on their own at home with their friends, watch soccer on TV and attend local soccer games when they can. A close connection to the game will help players to enjoy the game more and develop quicker as a player.

The most important objectives of Select Pride are to:
1) Maintain a safe, positive, fun and challenging soccer environment for all players; 
2) Develop and prepare players for the future – both on and off the field – by teaching soccer skills as well as important “life skills” including leadership, communication, character, teamwork, responsibility, time management, self-discipline, sportsmanship and respect for others. 
3) Engage high-quality coaches and trainers who provide the highest quality training and who motivate each player to work to his or her highest potential.
