T-Ball:

The primary goals of Tee Ball are to instruct children in the fundamentals of baseball.

Parents are strongly encouraged to become involved in this introduction level of Little League.

Coach Pitch SB/BB (Ages 6, 7, 8)

In the Rookie division, a rubber coated ball is pitched by a safety ball is pitched by one of the offensive coaches. Innings are 3 outs or 5 runs - whichever comes first. Games may be played with as few as six players on either team. Defensively, nine players take the field, including a catcher in full gear and fielder in the mound area. On offense, all players bat in a continuous batting order. The Rookies division is played on 60’ bases for BB or 35’/60’ for pitching and bases for SB.

  1. Minor League SB/BB (Ages 9, 10, 11)

In the Minor League, regulation baseballs and 11” softballs are used, umpires work the games, scores and standings are kept (for interleague games), and if possible, there is a post-season tournament. The Minor League is played on 60’ bases for BB or 35’/60’ for pitching and bases for SB. Players are placed on a team through a try-out and draft process. They must go through the draft process the next season even if they remain in the same division. If there are not enough NCLL teams to have an in-house league, district-wide “interleague” play is expected during the regular season.

Majors SB/BB (Ages 10, 11, 12)

If your 10-year old has already played a year at the Minor League, they potentially could be ready for Majors. Ultimately, the draft will determine which players play in this division. If there are not enough NCLL teams to have an in-house league, district-wide “interleague” play is expected during the regular season. In the Majors division, regulation baseballs and 12” softballs are used, league scheduled umpires work the games, scores and standings are kept, and all teams are eligible to participate in post-season tournaments organized by District 12. Players bat in a standard 9-batter order. The Majors division is played on 60’ bases for BB or 40’/60’ for pitching and bases for SB. Players are placed on a team through a try-out and draft process.

Players that are league age 12 MUST play in the Majors division.

  1. Intermediate (50/70) BB — (Ages 11, 12, 13)

The Intermediate division is played using 50’ pitching distances and 70’ base paths. Runners can take leads and the game mimics the rules of higher levels of baseball. LL senior baseballs are used, league scheduled umpires work the games, scores and standings are kept. There are typically not enough NCLL teams to have an in-house league, so district wide interleague play is expected during the regular season.

Players are placed on a team through a try-out and draft process if more than one team is formed in this division. Players are allowed to roster with both a Majors team as well as an Intermediate team.

  1. Juniors SB/BB (Ages 12, 13, 14)

The Juniors division is the first division that the game is played on 90’ bases for BB or 43’/60’ for pitching and bases for SB. Real baseballs or 12” little league approved softballs are used, league scheduled umpires work the games, scores and standings are kept, and there is a district wide post-season tournament. There are typically not enough NCLL teams to have an in-house league, so district wide interleague play is expected during the regular season.

Players are placed on a team through a try-out and draft process if more than one team is formed in this division.

14-year olds who have played a season at the juniors division may try out for the seniors division.

Seniors SB/BB (Ages 14, 15, 16)

The Seniors division continues the natural progression of baseball, with the game played on 90’ bases for BB or 43’/60’ for pitching and bases for SB. Real baseballs or 12” little league approved softballs are used, league-scheduled umpires work the games, scores and standings are kept, and there is a district wide post-season tournament. There are typically not enough NCLL teams to have an in-house league, so district wide interleague play is expected during the regular season.

Players are placed on a team through a try-out and draft process if more than one team is formed in this division. Players who are league age 14 and have played a season at the juniors division may try out for the seniors division. Ultimately, coaches will determine through the draft process which players play in this division.
