Intramural Dodgeball

The Boys & Girls Club of Watertown will be hosting a 7th - 12th grade Intramural Coed Dodgeball League. League will consist of 2 divisions; 7th and 8th grade division, and 9th-12th grade division. League will start Thursday, March 21st at 5:30 pm. League will take place every following Thursday at 5:30pm until conclusion of the league. Final League day is set to be Thursday, April 25th. Final League night will be playoff night. Seeding of the playoffs will be determined by team's win and loss record record with ties being determined from head to head matchups. 

The league will be a 5 on 5 Dodgeball League. All teams must have at least 6 players to a team and 2 of those players must be girls. Maximum of 10 players to a team. 

Intramural Sports League Information:
Price: $25 per player. This is a one time fee, collected when you arrive on March 21st. This fee gets you membership to the Boys & Girls Club of Watertown and all Intramural Sports Program that are run through the Club for this year. Current club members do not have to pay the $25 fee. 
2 Divisions
Division A-7th and 8th grade
Division B- 9th - 12th grade
Each division will have their own court
Playing field will be the red volleyball lines located on the gym floor as the boundary lines. 
Each game will consist of 5 rounds
Substitution is allowed before the start of each round
Each team will need an extra person to retrieve balls that are outside the play area during each round. 
Each team must have at least two girls playing each round. 
All scoring and rules will be monitored by the individual players and teams.
This league is run on an honesty and integrity policy. Play right and play fair.
Boys & Girls Staff will be governing the league play and rules for any controversial decisions. 

General Rules
- Any part of the body hit by a throw that was made in bounds eliminates that player
- If a ball is thrown and caught by a player in bounds the player who threw it is out and the other team gains a player that is out back into the round
- A player may block throws with a ball in hand but if the ball is knocked out of their hand by the throw, that player is out
- Any bounce off throws that are caught by a team mate is the same as a catch. Bounce off of a ball or of a player. Bounce off a wall, the ground, basketball rim, or the track railing does not count as a bounce off. 
- All throws must be thrown from in bounds to count
- Any player that steps out of bounds is out
- Swearing, and unsportsmanlike conduct will result in a player being eliminated from the round and possibly the game.
