Team Selection

Pee wee teams are assembled by the division coordinator, primarily looking to group teams by requests, school, and address.  We do our best to honor requests, but they are not guaranteed.

Softball Field Locations

• Age Range: 5-8 (Little League age is based on January 1st birthdate) Little League age 5 year old girls may play pee wee softball as opposed to tee ball

Rules:

• 11” softcore softball

• Coach pitch only – Batter may receive a maximum of 6 pitches, if after 6 pitches batter

• has not put the ball in play the batter will hit off a tee

• Inning ends after 3 outs or when all players in the lineup bat

  • Players that are determined to be out by a fielded play will return to the dugout

  • No strikeouts

  • No stealing

• No umpire – Outs will be called by coaches

• Teams can use a catcher but a catcher is not required

• Teams are encouraged to utilize 4 outfielders

• Team scores are not kept

• Continuous batting order will be used (Late arrivals to the game should be placed at the end of the order)

• Single base limit for infield hits, two base limit for outfield hits

• Coaches are encouraged to be in the field with their team

• Players fielding the pitching area are required to wear a helmet or facemask

• Infielders are encouraged to wear a facemask

• Game limit – 1 hour 20 minutes
