Content

The mission of the Stanislaus County Police Activities League is to provide pro-active recreational, educational, cultural and social programs for all youth, ages six through eighteen in Stanislaus County.

The Stanislaus County Police Activities League is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit organization founded in 1992. Stanislaus County Police Activities League is a program in Stanislaus County, which provides kids with alternatives to drugs, gangs, and other criminal activity. This is done by offering exciting sports and leisure activities as well as educational programs.

This program was founded in 1992 through the efforts of Martin G. Peterson, former Superintendent of the Stanislaus County Office of Education, and former Stanislaus County Sheriff Les Weidman. At present Stanislaus County PAL serves an average of 500 to 7,000 young people per month in Stanislaus County. We currently operate a total of 46 programs at sites in Salida, Grayson, Keyes, Empire, Waterford,  and Modesto.
