About Minors
Description: Combination player and coach pitch from a distance of 35 feet
Level: Developmental
Gender: Girls only
League Ages: 7-11 (Little League Softball Age Calculator)
Players league age 9-11 automatically play at the Minors level
Players league age 7-8 must tryout. Trying out does not guarantee they will make minors. If they don't they will automatically be placed in the pee wee softball program.
Team Selection
Majors and Minors teams for both softball and Baseball are selected after tryouts/evaluations, which are usually held in February. After these evaluations the players are selected by the coaches based on the skill level and the needs of the team. As a league, we cannot place children on certain teams because their friends are on that team or to help out with carpooling issues. Though this would be wonderful, it is not realistic or practical at this level.
