Illinois United Youth Sports is a grassroots community organization committed to enhancing the health, education, and opportunities for youth, adults, and families in Springfield and Central Illinois.

Our Mission

To inspire and empower individuals by providing educational, recreational, cultural, and health-focused programs that promote lifelong learning and growth.

Our Goals

1. Create inclusive opportunities for education, recreation, culture, health, and personal development for youth and adults.


2. Support youth athletes with programs that encourage educational and athletic advancement.


3. Ensure inclusivity, making everyone in Springfield and surrounding areas feel welcome and valued.


Our Objectives

1. Offer weekly recreational and cultural activities for youth (grade school through high school), as well as adult programs and health education services.

2. Provide an affordable sports program for youth in Springfield and surrounding communities.

About Us

Founded by Marcus Bates and Ronell Hawkins, Illinois United has a proven record of success, coaching over 250 IESA/IHSA state qualifiers, countless regional and district champions, and 200 national qualifiers since 2016. Our team is rapidly growing, and we are dedicated to fostering a supportive environment for our athletes.

We believe you bring exceptional skills and work ethic to the team and are excited to work with you as an individual and teammate.

🏈 Program Overview

Illinois United Youth Football is a youth football program dedicated to teaching the game of football in a fun, structured, and skill-building environment. Our program emphasizes:
Fundamental football skills
Teamwork and sportsmanship
Physical fitness and healthy competition
Character development and leadership
All skill levels are welcome — from beginners to experienced players.

👶 Age & Division Breakdown

8U – Ages 7–8
9U – Ages 8–9
10U – Ages 9–10
11U – Ages 10–11
12U – Ages 11–12
13–14U – Ages 12–14

📅 Season Structure

Season Length: 8 regular season games
Playoffs/Bowl Game: All divisions participate in playoffs or an end-of-season bowl game
Practices: Weekly, led by trained coaches focusing on skill development, conditioning, and teamwork

✔ Build confidence, leadership, and teamwork skills
✔ Encourage respect for coaches, teammates, and opponents

Our teams play in a structured youth league format, with games scheduled on weekends. Coaches, volunteers, and league officials ensure a safe and competitive environment for all participants.

Practices and games are held at local parks, school fields, and community athletic facilities in the Springfield, IL area.

Requirements: Completed registration form, proof of age or grade, sports physical, and athletic card
Uniforms: Provided as part of registration
