Bertram Holloway

Bertram is a Louisiana baseball man. Born and raised in Grand Caillou, Bertram attended Ellender Memorial High School where he was a four sport athlete, playing baseball, football, soccer and track. While in high school, he made the all-state baseball team more than once. He has been invited and attended training camps for Cincinnati Red and San Diego Padres. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Bertram was not able to continue his passion in playing baseball at the next level but participated in a number of adult baseball programs and began coaching the sport he loves. During his 15+ years of coaching youth baseball, he has won numerous tournament events in USSSA, AAU, Super Series, including numerous World Series and State Championships.

Being a lifelong student of baseball, Bertram has a deep passion for teaching all aspects of the game, including hitting, fielding, pitching, catching and base running. Most of all he sincerely believes it is his calling to coach boys of all ages by developing them into better ballplayers, getting them prepared for the next level, and teaching the many life lessons from his experience through the game of baseball. Aside from baseball, Bertram loves to play softball, coach football and basketball, and enjoy fishing and hunter with his sons. His first love is spending quality time with his three wonderful children, Jazmine (18), Channing (16), and Trenton (15). All of his children are student-athletes and excel academically. Jazmine currently attends University of Louisiana Monroe and recently named to the President’s List. Channing and Trenton attends Covenant Christian Academy in Houma, Louisiana.

Bertram and his twin brother, Bertrand, are looking forward to bringing their skills together to provide an opportunity for more kids to excel in baseball at their skill level. Their ability to work together has proven much success on many levels in youth sports. Through coaching, administering, and umpiring the game they love, they are able to communicate effectively in teaching, and winning the heart of their players and parents.
