AYSA 2025
The Family Experience
Soccer is a team sport, with rules like many other sports in American society. Learning how to play soccer according to the rules is but a small portion of what the AYSA is all about. Coaches can only teach so much. The other portion of your child’s learning and teamwork development comes from you. Sports, at this age group, are meant to be a family learning experience. The lessons learned are to be used as your child grows, just as any lesson of value you teach outside of sports. The purpose of Ashwaubenon Youth Soccer (AYSA) is to develop and encourage sportsmanship among its members and players for the betterment of their physical and social well being. We like to add-and have a lot of fun! AYSA exists to encourage sportsmanship. This is where you, the parent, must take the initiative and help us achieve our goal for your child. The AYSA knows you want to teach the most valuable lessons a parent can inspire within your child.
Affiliation
AYSA is affiliated with, and operated as a district member of the Soccer Association for Youth, USA (SAY), an Ohio corporation, and is governed by and complies with the principles, rules, and regulations decreed by the SAY. The SAY area governing board is:Bay-Lakes Soccer Association for Youth P.O. Box 11325 Green Bay, WI 54307-1325 Soccer for youth recreation in and around Brown County is affiliated with the soccer Association for Youth, a national organization aiding the growth of recreational soccer. SAY was formed to provide an organization within which children could learn and enjoy playing soccer; the world’s most popular and growing sport.A youth program should be as its name implies a program for the kids. Everyone has equal playing time and all teams are created by random draw. There are no physical limitations. Build, height and weight have little impact on learning. One of the world’s greatest soccer players, Pele, is of average height and weight. In 2000, the six districts in Bay Lakes SAY had over 8,000 youth comprising over 400 teams playing soccer.
Ashwaubenon Youth Sports Eligibility
To be eligible for registration in AYSA, players must either be residents of Ashwaubenon or attend a school within the Ashwaubenon School District. Player residency status will be checked this year. Any violations of this requirement will result in player removal from the team without a refund.
