PLAYERS' AGES/GRADE

The age bracket/division in which a player participates should be determined by the player's age or grade as of August 1st of the previous calendar year. For those players in the 7th or 8th grade will play in the grade they are eligible to play in based on UIL rules. We also maintain the ability to categorize players into divisions that are best suitable for the safety of any and all players.

  • SPRING: Flag  8U, 10U, 6th, 7th and 8th Grade

  • FALL: TBD

SEASONS / RULES

The BIG League follows UIL Rules with a few minor changes to address each of our different age groups. This applies for Spring and Fall seasons. Specific rules are given to coaches at annual coaches meeting/conference.

SAFETY

SAFETY, SAFETY, SAFETY - We can't say it enough!!! We require that all of our coaches are certified. We cannot stress enough the importance of teaching the correct ways to tackle and make a tackle as our goal is to always help reduce the risk of injury. We know who is coaching - the BIG League insures the safety of each and every child playing with us because we KNOW the people who come in contact with our players have undergone a thorough background screening. Our Code of Ethics and Conduct mandates that every member of the BIG League family that comes in contact with your child act in a manner that is suitable for every occasion.
