NLL COVID-19 and 2020 Season update

Neartown Little League Community~

The Neartown Little League’s (NLL) board hopes that you and your family members are staying safe and healthy during these uncertain times.  It is important that we stay positive and try not to panic.  As we are unable to control everything about this situation, but we can control a few things.  Washing hands thoroughly, maintaining social distancing, reducing unnecessary travels and outings are just a few.  We are in uncharted territory.  We realize this is a difficult and unstable time for many of our league families.  We as a league are facing similar challenges, and we appreciate your understanding and patience.  The NLL board is actively monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and all local, public, health advisories. Our focus remains on the safety and well-being of our league and its members.  Please notify me directly should you or someone you know from the league become COVID-19 positive.

NLL is extending the suspension of all NLL activities (practices, cages and games) through April 10th, following the guidance of HISD and government with the intent to reduce the exposure of players and parents to the potential spread of COVID-19.

NLL remains committed to playing spring baseball and will closely monitor the COVID-19 events to provide updates about NLL 2020 baseball season.

I am attached is an interesting experiment on how germs transfer. While watching, please think of the baseball that goes from players hand to players hand.
