2021 Neartown Safety Manual



Masks-Face Coverings are Optional but NOT Required:
Players, coaches, umpires, and spectators are not required to wear masks or face coverings; they are optional only.


Daily Health Self Assessments-Required:

All individuals should measure their body temperature to ensure that no fever is present prior to participating in activities. Anyone with symptoms of fever, cough, or worsening respiratory symptoms, or any known exposure to a person with COVID-19 should stay home.


No player should attend practice or games if not feeling well or displaying COVID-19 symptoms.


If a player tests positive for Covid 19 or exposed to someone who is positive, please notify your NLL coach in order to reduce further exposures. Player will be required to quarantine.


Please complete the "Positive Covid or Exposure" FORM to notify NLL. Your child will not be able to join his/her team until the below protocols are followed.


If a player has had a confirmed exposure to Covid 19 but has not tested positive, the player must not attend practice or games until 5 calendar days have passed since exposure.  After 5 calendar days one of the following must be true to return to play:   


1) The player tests negative for Covid 19 after at least 5 calendar days of the exposure.

2) The player has been cleared by their physician to play;

3) The player has been cleared to return to in person school.


If a player tests positive for Covid 19, the player will not be allowed to rejoin their team until at least one of the following is true: 


1) The player tests negative for Covid 19 at least 10 calendar days after they originally tested positive.   

2) The player has been cleared by their physician to play. 

3) The player is allowed to return to in person school.

To return to play after Covid 19 exposure or a positive test please complete the "Return to Play" FORM.

Hand Sanitization:

Upon entering and exiting the field, players and coaches are strongly encouraged to sanitize their hands.

Social Distancing - Spectators

In lieu of traditional greetings or celebrations, clapping, ‘air’ high-fives and other respectful, non-contact gestures are acceptable.


Equipment-Water Bottles-Personal Gear

All individuals should bring their own personal drinks/snacks to all team activities. Drinks should be labeled with the person’s name.


Players should use and maintain their own equipment (bat/glove/batting helmets).


If catchers gear is shared it must be cleaned/sanitized in between each use.


NLL will follow local and state regulations for youth sports and will monitor local and state decisions for schools and school sports. If NLL determines that the season must be canceled due to Covid and the HPARD closes the field and revokes the field permit, refunds will be offered according to the Refund Schedule below.

This policy only applies in the event NLL cancels the Fall 2021 season due to COVID-19.


100% Refund - Season is canceled prior to the first practice

80% Refund - Season is canceled after the first practice

50% Refund - Season is canceled before four practices are completed

0% Refund - Season is canceled Mid Season
