We hope that you and your families are doing well and staying safe and healthy. We understand the challenges everyone is facing due to the coronavirus and the current restrictions. NLL is committed to our community and to our players. We want to do the best we can to provide a safe and fun environment for the NLL community. Staying with the local health and government officials’ guidelines, NLL is pushing our potential start date out further from April 30 to May 11.

Little League is hopeful that there will be a 2020 baseball season of some kind, but they are not currently able to provide specific details just yet. As you know, things are changing every day. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott recently informed Texas of guidelines for a phase in approach to reopening the state. It is especially important that you and your family follow all guidelines. We must maintain social distancing of 6 ft away from non-family members. A face mask is strongly suggested and, in some places, required. NLL plans to have a questionnaire for the NLL coaches and families should the 2020 baseball season begin. This questionnaire will help NLL Board and give us a good idea of the # of available players still interested and able to play and any possible concerns.

I thought it would be fun for the players to keep baseball on their minds in a different and fun way. Attach is a Cross Word puzzle for the NLL players. Additional puzzles will be loaded onto the NLL website.  Hope they enjoy! There are more fun things on the way so be on the lookout.

If you are looking for something to make for dinner, “Think Baseball”. Hot Dogs, hamburgers, peanuts, and popcorn are always enjoyable. Of course, we cannot enjoy the amazing SnoBunny Snowball Snow cones right now but maybe a homemade popsicle would be a fun alternative.
