WHAT A SUPER FUN TIME!!

NLL Social Event at Rice Owls Football Game on Saturday Night, 9/17/2022

• Many thanks to all NLL Players, Coaches, and Family members that came out for the Rice Owls v. Louisiana-Lafayette Rajin’ Cajuns game this past Saturday, September 17th.  What a wonderful turnout and exciting game--Rice Owls were victorious, winning over the Rajin’ Cajuns 33 to 21!
• The Tailgate party ahead of the game was fantastic.  Great burgers, brats, and hot dogs, along with salads, sweets, and drinks.  We so appreciate Jason Smith’s barbecue skills and Michael Lecclier for bringing the vegan entries. Neartown’s tailgate tent was perfectly placed next to two bounce houses, which offered fab sideline entertainment for our young players.

• Players, coaches, and family members also joined in pre-game activities—one group participated in unfurling and presenting a massive Texas flag on the field while Rice’s band “The Mob” played “Deep in the Heart of Texas”; the other group joined the special lines to high-five players as they ran onto the field. Cool!
• Special kudos go to Michael Lecclier for organizing and coordinating this FanExperience opportunity with Rice University’s Athletic Department.  Hope it will become an annual Social event for NLL!
