The Midland Park Girls Softball Association runs two programs - Recreation Softball and Travel Softball.
MPSBA Travel Programs
MPSBA Spring Travel Softball
Tune-up for summer travel. Teams will play other towns in a short, no standings held pre-season schedule.
MPSBA Summer Travel Softball
Competitive softball season starts early June. MP teams will play in the league run by Midland Park, consisting of a 12-14 game season, tournaments, and potential for playoffs.
*** Summer Travel season ends with playoffs the last week of July. This should be taken into consideration if interested in Summer Travel, as vacation plans may need to be altered if making the commitment to play.***
Please note that the summer travel program is competitive. We as a league try to stress your child’s improvement through practice and our in town recreation leagues. Playing time is strictly within the manager’s discretion and we as a league adhere to these guidelines. Please review these guidelines with your child and make sure she understands prior to signing up for Travel Softball.
We expect Midland Park Girls Travel Softball to be the first priority for Travel Softball. We know many girls have joined Club Softball teams but we expect a commitment from those children that, should a conflict arise, the town team comes first. We have a full schedule of Softball for our travel teams and need to make sure we have the rosters to play those games.
It is the Softball Associations desire to have more than one team for each division. The number of kids that sign up for travel will dictate if there will be two teams, or if necessary a try out to reduce the number of children to one team. We would like to get more children playing travel Softball to help develop the travel programs. Also all girls that want to play Travel Softball must enroll in our Rec Softball program EXCEPT 7th, 8th, and 9th grade.
