Qualified Safety Plan Requirements

1.    League Safety Officer: Brian Martin on file with Little League Headquarters.

 

2.   Greenville Little League will distribute a copy of this Safety Manual to all managers/ coaches, league volunteers and the District Administrator.

4.   Greenville Little League will use the Official Little League Volunteer Application form to screen all of our Managers/ Coaches and all other Volunteers.

5.   Fundamentals Training:

·       At least one manager/coach from each team must attend the training.  Training qualifies volunteers for 3 years, but one manager/coach from each team is required to attend each year.  All umpires will attend training each year.

·       Greenville Little League will require all parents to enroll in the PCA Pledge.

 

6.   First Aid Training:. 

·       Greenville Little League will require at least one manager/coach from each team to attend. ___________ will conduct the training.

 

7.   Field Inspections:

·       All coaches will be required to walk/ inspect the field prior to practices and Games. Umpires will also be required to walk the fields for hazards before each game. Coaches are responsible for fixing any issues that arise.

 

8.   Facility Survey:

·       Greenville Little League has completed and updated the 2020 survey.

 

9.   Concession Stand Safety:

·       Concession Menu shall be posted and approved by the Safety Officer and the League President.

·       Safety Procedures will be posted throughout the concession stand.

10.   Equipment Inspections:

·       Safety Officer and President will inspect all equipment in the pre-season.

·       Managers/ Coaches will inspect equipment prior to each game and practice.

·       Umpires will be required to inspect equipment prior to each game.

11.   Accident Reporting:

·       Greenville Little League will use the provided incident tracking form from the LL website and will provide completed Accident forms to the Safety Officer within 48 hours of the incident. Enclosed is a copy of the Accident Reporting Form.

 

12.   First Aid Kits:

·       Each team will be issued an updated first aid kit and will be required to have it at every practice and game.

·       The Concession Stand will also have a first aid kit at all times.

13.   Little League Rules:

·       Greenville Little League will require all teams to enforce all

          Little League Rules to specifically include:

o  Coaches will not be allowed to catch/warm up pitchers under any circumstance.

o  No on-deck batters.

o  All bases will disengage on all fields.

o  Catchers are required to have proper equipment on while warming up the pitcher.

o  All Managers will be issued a 2020 Little League Rule Book and are required to

have it in possession at all games.

 

14.    Submission of Qualified Safety Plan Registration: 

·       The Safety Officer will complete and submit the necessary Qualified Safety Plan Registration forms in conjunction with the yearly submission of the approved ASAP.  This will be completed prior to the deadline date posted on the Little League website.

15.    Player Registration Data/Roster Data:

·       The President will submit all player registration data/roster data to Little League via the Little League Data Center.  This will be complete prior to the deadline date posted on the Little League website.
