ABOUT RICO

I began playing soccer in Fort Walton Beach, Florida for the recreational program on Hurlburt Fields Air Force Base at 5 years old. I played consistently in the recreational programs until 12 years old before I moved to Texas in 2003 where I sat out my freshman year of high school soccer. My sophomore year I joined Nederland High School’s team and never put the ball down since. I captained the team my senior year. My first club soccer experience was with Gulf Coast Youth Soccer club at 14 years old. We began a Super II team before progressing to Division I State Classic League in 2007, our season was cut short due to Hurricane Rita. I played club soccer at Lamar University all 4 years of college before graduating with my BBA in Business Management.

From there I moved up and played one year with the 96' ECNL team, another year with the 97' ECNL team, and finally played with my graduating class, the 98' ECNL team.
