Coach Henderson has an extensive background in track and field.  He ran track for Alabama State University and later became the Athletic Director for Alabama A&M University.  Coach Henderson's notoriety can be traced back to 1982 when the women's track team at Alabama A&M began competing in the NCAA.

Accomplishments: High School teams won their conference and state championships. College teams won 15 consecutive SIAC Outdoor women's conference championships; 11 consecutive SIAC cross country championships; 3 NCAA DIV II Women's National Championship. NCAA Coach of the Year 3 times; NCAA Region Coach of the year 6 or more times; his teams have produced over 100 NCAA All Americans and 7 Olympians; HMTC has produced National Champions and All Americans.

Melissa Brabson has been with Huntsville Metro Track Club since 2013. She serves as a coach, mentor and club administrator. Melissa also serves as the Secretary for the USATF Alabama. Coach Melissa is also a volunteer coach with Meridianville Middle School since 2015 and Hazel Green High School since 2018.  Her main aspects are to motivate, encourage and teach all athletes that want to better themselves in track and field and to be their best in whatever they strive to do and achieve.
